Ryan Walsh Commits to Chilliwack

The Chilliwack Chiefs are proud to announce the commitment of 2003-born forward Ryan Walsh for the 2022-23 BCHL season. Walsh, a native of Rochester NY is currently playing at the Salisbury School for Coach Andrew Will. Salisbury has been a pipeline of sorts for the Chiefs in recent years, with Chiefs alumni Brett Willits, Kevin Wall, and Matt Holmes coming through their program to name a few.

Committed to Brown, Walsh comes to the Chiefs with great offensive instincts and leadership qualities to match. Chiefs Associate Coach and Assistant General Manager Brad Rihela spoke to the staff’s excitement to add a player like Ryan. “Ryan’s game and the way the Chilliwack Chiefs play are a fantastic fit. He processes the game at a high level, which allows him to make high-end plays in tight areas and create offence in a number of different ways.” Said Rihela.

Walsh mentioned the fact that the BCHL has always been a goal of his when asked for comment on his commitment to the Chiefs. “The BCHL has always been a league that I have dreamed of playing in, so being able to play at one of the best programs is something really special.”

Welcome to Chilliwack, Ryan!
