The Chilliwack Chiefs are proud to announce that affiliate player from last season Lucas Sorace, will join the club full-time for the 2021-22 BCHL season. Sorace, a 2004-born defenceman from Port Moody, is currently suiting up for the North East Chiefs U18 squad playing under coach Jamie Jackson. Last season, he tallied 6 goals and 15 assists for the BWC Elite 15 program, while also playing 1 game for the Chiefs at the BCHL level.
“Lucas is a quality prospect who has continued to work to improve his game. A great skater who plays a competitive style of game, we are really excited to continue to work with him as he pursues his goals of obtaining an NCAA scholarship.” Said Chiefs Associate Coach and Assistant General Manager Brad Rihela.
“I am excited to be joining such a great organization.” Said Sorace before adding “I believe that Chilliwack is the best program for me to continue my development and improve my game because of the quality of the coaching staff and training facilities. I’m looking forward to getting started next season.”
