Laylin to Join Chiefs

The Chilliwack Chiefs are proud to announce the addition of University of St. Thomas commit Casy Laylin to the 2022/23 roster.

The 2004-born forward joins the Chiefs after a season with the Chicago Steel. Before his stint in the USHL, Laylin was a star at St. Michael-Albertville High notching 63 points in 43 games over two seasons. The Minnesota product was also a member of the 2021 U.S. Under-18 Men’s Select Team that appeared at the 2021 Hlinka Gretzky Cup.

“We’re getting a really smart young hockey player with Junior experience coming from a fantastic program. We expect Casy to come in and contribute with our young club right away,” said Head Coach and General Manager Brian Maloney.

He is the younger brother of former Prince George Spruce Kings forward Luc Laylin and son of Cory Laylin, an NCAA assistant coach.

“The Laylin’s are a hockey family so you know Casy will come in and play the right way. We look forward to watching and working with him this season,” said Maloney.

“I’m excited for the opportunity to join the Chilliwack Chiefs organization. I’ve heard a lot of great things about the city and the organization as a whole and I can’t wait to be a part of it,” said Laylin.

Welcome to Chilliwack Casy!
