Kawaguchi named Hobey Baker Award Top 10 Finalist

Former Chiefs captain Jordan Kawaguchi has been named a Top 10 Finalist for the Hobey Baker Award.  Kawaguchi led the North Dakota Fighting Hawks to an NCHC regular-season title and the top spot in the final NCAA Pairwise Rankings. The Fraser Valley native put up a team-high 45 points (15 goals and 30 assists) in his junior year. He also ended the season second in the NCAA in points.

Before joining North Dakota, Kawaguchi played four years in Chilliwack. The Abbotsford product notched 242 points in 213 games in a Chiefs uniform.

The Hobey Hat Trick (three finalists) will be revealed on April 2nd.  Then Friday, April 10th the Hobey Baker Award winner will be announced.

Chiefs fans can help Kawaguchi move on by voting until March 29th.
