Express Edge Chiefs in OT – Surrey In Town Tonight

Tonight, the Surrey Eagles will make their third appearance of the regular season and first of 2019 at Prospera Centre. The puck drops at 7pm. The Eagles who currently sit at the bottom of both the Mainland Division and BCHL standings with an 8-29-1-2 record are still looking for their first win in 2019, their last was in December, a 2-1 win over the Spruce Kings. The Chiefs currently lead the regular season series against the Eagles, winning all four games and outscoring the Eagles 20-8.

The Chiefs will be looking to rebound from Friday’s 4-3 overtime loss to the Express. The loss leaves the Chiefs with a 27-11-1-0 record and one point out of first behind the Spruce Kings who blanked Cowichan Valley 3-0 on Friday and in a three way tie for second with Penticton and Merritt. Chiefs goals were scored by Cole Donhauser, Brett Rylance, and Jacques Bouquot, former Chief Regan Kimens clinched the win for the Express in OT.

The Chiefs will round out the weekend with a matinee game against the Prince George Spruce Kings, game time is 2pm.
