Eric Williams Named Goaltending Coach

The Chilliwack Chiefs are pleased to welcome Eric Williams as the club’s new Goaltending Coach.

The Langley native currently works with the West Valley Giants in the BCEHL and the West Vancouver Academy in the CSSHL. As well, he is a Head Consultant with Assertion Goaltending, which is co-owned by the Chiefs previous goaltending Coach Mackenzie Skapski.

“We are excited to add Eric to our staff. He is a detailed coach who has worked closely with Skapski, so there will be some consistency there. Eric is a bright hockey mind who is passionate about the goaltending position. He has significant playing and coaching experience he can use to help our goaltenders,” said Head Coach and Genereal Manager Brian Maloney.

Williams played 199 games in the Western Hockey League before spending time in the CIS with the University of British Columbia Thunderbirds.

“I’m extremely excited for the opportunity to work with the Chilliwack Chiefs organization. I look forward to working at the Junior A level and being a part of the goalies’ development this season. Hoping to be a strong role model and teacher to them, helping to maximize their strengths and build their game for the next level of hockey,” said Williams.

Welcome to the Chiefs family Eric!
