The Chilliwack Chiefs are proud to announce the commitment of Sam Auld to the team for the 2025-26 BCHL Season. Auld, a dual citizen who resides in Vancouver, had a standout performance at this years training camp and is a player the Chiefs are extremely excited about moving forward. “Sam possesses a lot of intangibles that will allow him to fit in seamlessly with our group next season.” Said Chiefs Head Coach Brian Maloney before adding “Sam is a player that has a great combination of speed, grit, and skill that will adhere well to our program moving forward.”
A 6’0 left-hand shot forward, Auld is currently playing for St. Georges U18 Prep in the Canadian Sports School Hockey League. Last season he registered a point per game during the regular season and an impressive 5 goals in 5 games at the CSSHL playoff tournament. When asked about his commitment, he spoke of his excitement to join the program and continue his development in the BCHL. “I’m incredibly excited to be joining the Chiefs next season, a top-tier organization known for their commitment to player development and success. The team has a great reputation for developing young players, both on and off the ice, and I’m proud to be committing to such a strong program.”
