Chiefs Soar Past Eagles 6-2

The Chiefs returned to the South Surrey Arena Sunday afternoon to take on the Surrey Eagles for the second time in three days and came away with 6-2 win, improving their record to 32-11-1-0.

Max Mohagen gave Surrey a 1-0 lead at 18:58 of the first period, a lead they would take into the first intermission.

Heading into the second, the Chiefs looked to draw even and finally did so as Harrison Blaisdell scored his 28th of the season at the 9:00 mark, but just over 4 minutes later Surrey’s Dawson McKay put the Eagles up 2-1, again a lead they would carry into the intermission.

But the third period was all Chiefs, with 5 different Chiefs finding the score sheet, including Mitch Andres notching his first in a Chiefs uniform.  Daniel Chenard earned the win for the Chiefs, facing 21 shots. The Chiefs were 1 for 2 on the powerplay, while Surrey went 0 for 6.

Next up for the Chiefs is a Wednesday night tilt at Prospera Centre against Coquitlam. Game time is 7pm.
