The Chilliwack Chiefs are proud to announce the commitment of Fraser Valley Thunderbird and former Yale Academy Lion Darius Bachler for the 2022-23 BCHL Season. Bachler, a right-handed forward, brings a great blend of size, skill, and physicality to the Chiefs roster and his 200-foot game will be a welcome addition. This season with the Fraser Valley Thunderbirds U18 program, Bachler has registered 5 goals and 7 assists in 14 games played.
“Darius was one of the best players on the ice in our spring camp this past season.” Said Chiefs Associate Coach and Assistant GM Brad Rihela. “It was evident then, and in watching him play this season that he is a player that will be able to step in and help us next season with his well-rounded, responsible game.”
“When the opportunity with the Chiefs presented itself, I knew I couldn’t turn it down.” Said the power forward. “Chilliwack’s an amazing organization within the BCHL and I’m so excited to start my career as a Chief.” Said Bachler.
