Chiefs 6 Wild 2

The Chiefs spoiled Daniel Chenard’s return to the Chilliwack Coliseum tonight, putting a season high 6 goals past the former Chiefs netminder routing the Wild in a 6-2 win.

At the 17:27 mark of the first period Trevor Griebel scored his second of the season with help from Nick Cafarelli to give the Wild a 1-0 lead which they would carry into the first intermission.

But it was all Chiefs in the second period as Joey Larson notched his second of the season on the power play from Nesternko and Bowen. Arlo Merrit would round out the scoring in the second with his fourth and fifth of the season to give the Chiefs a 3-1 lead heading into the third period.

The third period saw Joey Larson score his second of the night and third of the season to put the hometown side up 4-1. Tyler Cristall and Jack Agnew rounded out the scoring for the Chiefs to give them a 6-1 lead. Wenatchee would score the final goal of the game off the stick of Dallas Farrell with the help of Chenard and Griebel to end the game 6-2.

The Chiefs are back in action Saturday night to take on the Alberni Valley Bulldogs.  Game time is 7pm. The Chilliwack Coliseum Box Office will open at 3pm.
