The Chilliwack Chiefs are pleased to announce the signing of 2007-born defenceman Hudson Wiles.
Wiles, a Port Elgin, ON product, played the past two seasons for the Barrie Colts AAA program.
“Hudson is an elite young defenseman that we feel could grow into one of the top defenders in our league over time,” said Head Coach and General Manager Brian Maloney. “We are happy that his family values long-term player development and knows that with the program in place here, Hudson is going to continue to progress as an elite puck-moving defender.”
With the U16 team last season, Wiles netted 8 goals and 16 assists for 24 points from the blue line.
“It is an honour to be a part of an organization of this caliber. I am really excited to get started,” said Wiles.
